Excellent Garden Tractor!

I've owned my X734 for two years and couldn't be happier! It's extremely well designed, engineered and manufactured. I use the 60" HC mower deck, 54" front blade and Power Flow bagger. I'm really impressed with the engine's lugging capability in heavy use conditions. The deck's cut quality is excellent. It pulls my 950 lb roller with ease. It moves heavy snow with minimal effort using only the TerraGrip traction belts. The all-wheel steering is responsive — no harm to turf on tight turns. Two thumbs up!!!

Tractor is a dream to drive

I have 7 acres of grass to cut. At first I thought I had spent too much money on this tractor. But after spending thousands of dollars on other cheaper tractors and having them break down after a few years, I finally gave in to a Deere. The quality is much better and this tractor with its all-wheel steering is fantastic. Cuts down on your mowing time considerably. The power steering makes this the "Cadillac" of tractors. Plus the ride is better than the zero-turn mowers and it does just about the same job.

Steering, starting, comfort — outstanding

Now that I have used it a little more I am even more impressed. I thought the steering was too light — I was wrong again; it lets you concentrate on placing the tractor where you want it without even thinking about turning the wheel. I had a 324; I park in the corner of the garage close to the wall, and the 734 is much bigger yet easier to park. I got the 54-in. deck and wanted to cut tight all the way around the telephone poles without backing up — it does this. The deck cuts excellently. The fast starts and fuel injection are amazing — never going back to a carburetor.

Great Investment

I had to replace my 24-year-old Gravely, and knowing my Dad always had good luck with JD I did some research and purchased an X734. Making the choice of the rear turning wheels was an added expense but it sure was the right move. I have cut down on my cutting time plus the mower deck does a great job of scattering the clippings. Great overall quality and I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Well engineered and quality built lawn tractor

This is my 6th John Deere lawn tractor and it is the best yet. The biggest improvement is in the deck — it is built better than any of my previous units and does a better job mowing, and with the optional mulching kit I get a beautiful looking lawn. The tractor has a nice digital dash with tach, fuel gauge, hour meter and engine temp gauge. The engine is very powerful and relatively easy on fuel for a 25+ hp engine. The seat is very comfortable and adjustable for all body sizes.

This machine has it all!

The new deck gives a groomed finish while marching through tall grass with ease. It leaves a very light footprint with no scalping that comes with some of the all-wheel steers. With a tight turning radius and power to spare it really cuts mowing time. Awesome machine. Pros: drive-over deck, small uncut radius, perfect cut.

Great mower — plenty of power

I traded in an X734 (the same mower but 5 years old) so I am familiar with the machine. Good mower, plenty of power — the four-wheel steer really speeds up mowing. Keep an eye on the radiator screen and blow it out after a few hours in dusty or seedy conditions and it runs perfectly.
