Outstanding Lawn Tractor
I cut over 5 acres of pasture, so I needed a bigger machine. I upgraded from 19 hp with a 42-in. deck to an S180 with 24 hp and a 54-in. deck — what a difference. The engine is strong but sips gas, and the deck cuts perfectly every time, even in long or wet grass. Comfortable to drive, great seat, smooth transmission. Highly recommend. I wish I had bought it a year ago.

I love my S180

Love the tractor
I've had the S180 for 3 years now and it runs great. I have 7 acres of lawn and most of it is hilly — I feel very safe on it, unlike the zero-turn I looked at. Absolutely no complaints on the cut or the power. My grandfather worked for JD, so my loyalty is deep. This is my third Deere.

Starts every time, easy to learn
I have 6 hours on my S180 so far and it takes about an hour to do my lawn. I love that it starts every time and all the buttons and pedals are easy to remember. Easy to pull the lever for the deck, the hood closes smoothly, and it turns tight which is great with all these trees. The side cubby with a latching lid keeps my phone and keys from bouncing out.

Big deck, big difference
The extra six inches of deck over my old 48-in. machine saves me a full pass on every lap. The 24 hp V-twin never bogs down and the digital fuel gauge is much better than the old sight tube. Very happy with it.

Improved features over my old model
This tractor replaced my 8-year-old same-model machine. The turning radius is improved, the reverse-mow button is better, and the digital gas gauge is much improved. Bought it for the brand name and because it's built in the USA — good cutting deck.

Comfortable easy ride
